Admission to postgraduate studies in 2026

The S.P. Timoshenko Institute of Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine announces admission to full-time postgraduate studies in 2026 in F1 Applied Mathematics.

Stage I

Unified entrance examinations

  • Registration for the unified entrance tests: 23 April – 14 May; additional period: 26–28 May 2026.
  • Invitations: By 19 June for the main session; by 28 July for the additional session.
  • Testing period: 26 June – 14 July for the main session; 3–21 August for the additional session.
  • Results: By 23 July for the main session; by 21 August for the additional session.
Stage II

Registration and competitive selection

  • Applicant account in EDEBO: From 1 July.
  • Registration for competitive selection: 7 August – 25 August, until 18:00.
  • Registration for the specialty examination: 7 August – 25 August, until 18:00.
Stage III

Examination and enrolment

  • Specialty examination: From 26 August to 7 September 2026.
  • Ranking list: By 12 September 2026.
  • Enrolment order: By 14 September 2026.
Mandatory admission condition: successful completion of the unified professional entrance test in research methodology in 2025 or 2026 and successful completion of the unified entrance examination in 2024–2026. The minimum total score for the general academic competence test and the foreign-language test may not be lower than 300.

Documents for competitive selection

  • application addressed to the Director of the S.P. Timoshenko Institute of Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine;
  • personnel record form certified by the institution where the applicant studies or works;
  • two 3×4 cm photographs;
  • identity and citizenship document;
  • document confirming a surname change, if applicable;
  • military ID or registration certificate for persons liable for military service;
  • list of published research papers and inventions in the specialty, if available;
  • research proposal in the chosen specialty.
  • higher-education diploma and diploma supplement;
  • documents for establishing equivalence of a foreign higher-education diploma, where applicable;
  • recommendation of the academic council of a higher-education institution, if available;
  • taxpayer identification number certificate;
  • residence-registration certificate for applicants intending to live in a dormitory;
  • international certificate in a foreign language, if available;
  • consent to personal-data collection and processing.
Attention: copies of documents are not accepted without presentation of the originals.
