For authors
Article types and formats
Prykladna Mekhanika accepts original research articles and review articles in Ukrainian.
Research articles
New scientific results supported by a clear description of methods, analysis and justified conclusions.
Review articles
Critical and systematic assessments of current developments and future research directions.
File format
Ukrainian manuscripts are submitted in Microsoft Word. LaTeX is not currently accepted for this submission route.
Original English-language manuscripts for International Applied Mechanics are submitted through Springer Nature and may be prepared in Word or LaTeX.
Core manuscript package
- the manuscript in Ukrainian as a Microsoft Word file;
- title, author details, affiliations, abstract and keywords in Ukrainian and English;
- figures of suitable quality, supplied separately when required;
- equations, tables, SI units and references formatted according to journal requirements;
- DOIs for references where available;
- author information and the required article-level declarations.
Submission
Send the manuscript to the Editorial Office
Until the online submission system is introduced, Ukrainian manuscripts are accepted by email.
- Prepare the manuscript in Word in accordance with the journal requirements.
- Attach figures and supporting documents.
- State the first author’s surname and a short article title in the email subject line.
- Send the complete package to prikl@inmech.kyiv.ua.
- Wait for confirmation from the Editorial Office.
Peer review
Editorial assessment
The journal uses single-anonymous peer review.
Review model
Reviewers know the identities of the authors, while reviewer identities are not disclosed to the authors.
Number of reviewers
Each suitable manuscript is evaluated by at least one independent expert; additional reviewers may be invited by the editor.
Handling Editor
The Handling Editor manages peer review, assesses the reports, author responses and revision, and submits a recommendation.
Final decision
The formal decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief acting as Lead Editor.
The same scientific standards apply to Ukrainian papers and original English-language submissions.
Editorial requirements
Declarations and publication ethics
Every article must include the standard article-level declarations.
Required declarations
- Author Contributions;
- Funding;
- Conflict of Interest / Competing Interests;
